Pick Me — Privacy Policy

What the app does

You put your fingers on the screen, and after a short build-up, the app picks one at random. That's the whole app.

What data is collected

None. Pick Me runs entirely on your device and has no network code at all — it cannot send anything anywhere even if it wanted to.

What the app does with your touches

While a round is running, the app keeps track of where fingers are touching the screen so it can animate the countdown and choose a winner. That information lives only in memory for the length of the round. It is never written to disk, never leaves the device, and is gone the moment the round ends.

Accounts, analytics, ads, tracking

There are none. No sign-up, no analytics library, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs of any kind.

Children's privacy

Pick Me does not collect information from anyone, of any age. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing stored to protect and nothing that could be exposed — that follows from how the app is built, not from a promise made here.

Changes to this policy

If this app ever starts collecting or transmitting data, this policy will be updated to say so plainly, and the "last updated" date above will change.

Support

Pick Me has no accounts, no settings and no data, so there is not much that can go wrong — but if something does, email pahulsohi@gmail.com and I will reply. Including your device model and iOS version helps.

Common questions

Why does it stop at five fingers? That is the iPhone screen's own limit — it never reports a sixth touch, so no app can work around it. iPads report up to eleven, and Pick Me handles all of them.

Someone lifted their finger and the countdown stopped. That is deliberate. Lifting a finger takes you out of the running, and if fewer than two people are left the round cancels rather than crowning whoever held on longest.

Is the choice actually random? Yes. Every finger still on the screen has exactly the same chance, drawn from the system random number generator.
